Romantic Roads

Romantic RoadThe two romantic journeys:

A Road for Today and A Road for Tomorrow, are each designed to be completed in a single day, at a leisurely pace, allowing time to enjoy the towns, villages and scenery en-route. They will introduce you to some of the places which have proved so popular with generations of visitors to the Cotswolds and also to some of our less well-known favourites.

For visitors with time, there are many suggestions for places along the route in which to linger. On the Romantic Road you will never be far from your starting and finishing point in Cheltenham.

The Cotswolds - Easy To Explore From Our B&B

The following are less than an hour’s drive away and are well worth a visit.

Winchcombe

Winchcombe

When staying at our Bed & Breakfast in Cheltenham, why not visit this lovely town which has a wonderfully timeless quality about it. Cotswold stone cottages enhanced by black and white half- timber buildings, narrow side streets and charming houses make up the centre of this fabulous town. Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe pottery and the steam railway are close by.
Broadway

Broadway

A famous Cotswold beauty spot and popular throughout the year. Lined with some great shops, restaurants and plenty of antique shops. Broadway Tower, Snowshill Manor and Lavender farm are close by. Broadway is about a 30 minute drive from Cheltenham and easy to get to from our guesthouse.
Chipping Camden

Chipping Camden

Chipping Camden, roughly 40 minutes from Cheltenham, is described by many as the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Cotswold towns. Chipping Camden is also one of the best preserved and most historically important towns with a famously beautiful high street and elegant market hall. Talented artists, designers and craftspeople have worked in and around Chipping Camden and the North Cotswolds since the time of the Arts and Crafts Movement in the early 20th Century. Court Barn Museum celebrates their lives and their skills. Our Cheltenham Bed And Breakfast makes for the perfect place to stay when exploring places such as Chipping Camden.
Moreton in Marsh

Moreton in Marsh

Moreton in Marsh is not far from Cheltenham and is a true Cotswold market town which hosts the largest open air street market in the Cotswolds.
Bourton on the Water

Bourton on the Water

Bourton on the Water, roughly 30 minutes drive from Cheltenham, is probably the most visited village in the Cotswolds and is often referred to as the ‘ Venice of the Cotswolds’ because the River Windrush runs through. There are lots of attractions here, but a good one for vintage lovers is one of Britain’s best motor museums.
